Tripwire Interactive has released a message stating that Killing Floor 3 has been delayed until later in 2025. The next chapter in the series was originally set to be released on March 25, 2025, but has now been pushed back to an undetermined date later this year.
The developers cited user feedback following a recent closed beta as to why The Killing Floor 3 is being pushed back. Tripwire Interactive said that in order to make the core experience of the game as enjoyable as possible, they need more time to fix persistent issues.
Some of the test’s more persistent issues include performance and stability, UI/UX lighting, and weapon feel. You can see the full statement regarding the delay below.
The third installment in this hit co-op action horror series, Killing Floor 3, is set in the year 2091, 70 years after the events in Killing Floor 2. The megacorp called Horzine has produced the ultimate army: an obedient horde of bio-engineered monstrosities called Zeds, and it is up to you and the rebel rogue group known as Nightfall to stop it.
Whether alone or with up to five teammates, you must lead the Nightfall through waves of Zeds, fighting in a war-ravaged, dystopian future hellscape to preserve humanity’s survival. As you progress, you’ll unlock new skills and build the ultimate arsenal, leaving plenty of blood-soaked hallways in your wake along the way.
Killing Floor 3 is currently set to release on PC (Steam & Epic Games Store), PS5, and the Xbox Series X|S.
