Killing Floor 3 Global Release Date Announced

Earlier this year, Tripwire Interactive announced they’d be delaying their highly anticipated survival horror sequel, Killing Floor 3. Today, the developers revealed the game will now launch worldwide on July 24 for PC (Steam & Epic Games Store), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Originally, Killing Floor 3 was set to launch on March 25, 2025, but it was delayed following player feedback. Since then, the development team has shared updates on design, artwork, UI, and animation to show fans they are listening.

“Since delaying the launch of Killing Floor 3, we’ve dedicated the additional development time to responding to the community’s feedback, ensuring the next chapter in the much-loved cult action/horror franchise lives up to our shared vision,” said Bryan Wynia, Creative Director at Tripwire Interactive. “The support from our fans has been incredible, and with the new July 24th release date in sight, we’re thrilled to bring that vision to players not just at launch, but through the continued support of new features and content that is a hallmark of our studio.”

Killing Floor 3 is set in 2091, 70 years after the events in Killing Floor 2. The megacorp called Horzine has produced the ultimate army: an obedient horde of bio-engineered monstrosities called Zeds, and it is up to you and the rebel rogue group known as Nightfall to stop it.

Alone or with up to five teammates in co-op, you must lead the Nightfall through waves of Zeds, fighting in a war-ravaged, dystopian future hellscape to preserve humanity’s survival. As you progress, you’ll unlock new skills and build the ultimate arsenal, leaving plenty of blood-soaked hallways in your wake.

The series began in 2009 as a mod for Unreal Tournament 2004 and later evolved into its own standalone title. Since then, Tripwire Interactive has also helped publish multiple titles, including Chivalry 2, Deceive Inc., and The Stone of Madness.

Digital pre-orders for the Standard, Deluxe, and Elite Nightfall Editions of Killing Floor 3 have been reinstated and are now live on each platform store page. For more information on this and other survival horror titles, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily.
