Cozy Cafe Sim Game Kemono Teatime Delayed

Kemono Teatime, an adorable cafe simulation game from Studio Lalala, has been delayed to ensure the game gives players the best experience possible.

According to an announcement on Steam, Kemono Teatime will now be released in September 2025. The original release window was Spring 2025, which is pretty much over at this point anyway.

However, since the demo has been up and the game has been available to wishlist on Steam, it’s gathered over 60,000 wishlists. Studio Lalala thanked fans for their patience.

Director and Producer Fuyuki Hayashi wrote a letter to fans, extending their thanks and apologizing for the wait. They also explained that Kemono Teatime is meant to be a soft, calm experience that “touches the heart” and “soothes the soul.” To accomplish these things, the delay was inevitable.

In case you haven’t heard of the game, Kemono Teatime is a relaxing cafe simulation game. Players work at a cafe, where they’ll make various teas for the Kemonomimis, or humans with animal-like features, like ears and/or tails.

The cafe is open for three weeks, making players strategically use their time to enjoy the characters they meet. Plus, they’ll hopefully learn about themselves in the process.

Even though Kemono Teatime has been delayed, players can play through the demo. The demo currently has about two hours’ worth of content in it, and there are some guidelines for posting about spoilers. Players can read up on them here.
