Today, Orbx released a new and meatier trailer and new screenshots of the upcoming Jurassic World: Archipelago add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
This time around, we don’t get to see just a high-level flyover of the islands and a few Pteranodon, as in the first teaser trailer, but we start to see familiar structures from the movies, including the interiors, and more animated dinosaurs.
The screenshots also showcase a majestic look at a group of Brachiosaurus alongside more structures and even a paved runway, which will likely be usable to operate at least some heavier aircraft. It appears to be pretty wide, but the angle makes it challenging to guess how long it is.
You can enjoy the trailer and the assets below. If you want to learn more, you can also watch our dedicated interview with Orbx CEO Anna Cicognani.

It’s worth reminding that the add-on is scheduled to release on Orbx Direct for PC between the end of August and the beginning of September. It’ll come to the official marketplace, including an Xbox version, shortly after. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and even X-Plane versions will be developed, but they’ll come at a later time.
It’ll include the following locations.
- Isla Nublar
- Isla Matanceros
- Isla Peña
- Herradura Bay Marina
- Isla Sorna
- Isla Muerta
- Isla Tacano
- Juan Santamaria Airport (MROC)
You’ll also be able to meet quite a few species of dinosaurs, including the following.
- Apatosaurus
- Brachiosaurus
- Dimorphodon
- Gallimimus
- Mosasaurus
- Pteranodon
- Stegosaurus
- Tyrannosaurus Rex
- Velociraptor.
