JDM: Rise of the Scorpion, the free prologue-slash-demo for the upcoming JDM: Japanese Drift Master, is releasing its last major content update before the entire game releases later this year.
The last content update for Rise of the Scorpion added new features and cars for players to experience. New Online Leaderboards are now in Challenge Mode for both grip and drift challenges. Players can see who’s at the top and what car and assists they used to get there.
Plus, Rise of the Scorpion added three new cars to Challenge Mode: Mazda RX8, Mazda MX-5 (NA), and Subaru BRZ II. These come after JDM: Japanese Drift Master established partnerships with Mazda and Nissan.
Rise of the Scorpion also supports more devices than ever now. The Moza R5 Steering Wheel has a new input preset, and the HGP Shifter and HBP Handbrake are now supported.
There were also several bug fixes with the update. For example, unplugging devices while the game was running would cause the inputs to completely lock up. This is no longer a problem. Players can also use any connected input without running into problems when switching them.
Plus, players using steering wheels can now use them in various menus across the game. Even physics and car suspensions were fine-tuned.
Now, JDM: Rise of the Scorpion is on the Steam page for JDM: Japanese Drift Master.
JDM: Rise of the Scorpion released an update teaser trailer showing off the three new cars in action. There’s also a brief view of the new leaderboards. Fans can check out the teaser below:
