While the overall update will feature plenty of small quality of life improvements and changes, the primary focus of JDM: Japanese Drift Master Physics 2.0 to rework Force Feedback, Oversteering, Arcade & Simcade models, Gravity, and Braking. All of these changes are coming due to community feedback provided to the developers after the game left early access back on May 21, 2025.

Force Feedback has been changed from the ground up, featuring more settings to tailor your driving experience and reworking the support for FFB. Available steering wheel presets are also being modifying in accordance accordingly with changes made in the engine, and they will be adding FFB presets to those setups per wheel. The whole process won’t come as of the next update, but will be divided out over the course of the summer.

More importantly, the improvements made via JDM: Japanese Drift Master Physics 2.0 will eliminate uncontrollable oversteering while playing on a wheel. The aforementioned Force Feedback changes will improve the overall control steering wheel players feel as well.

They physics models for Arcade and Simcade will feel more true to form with the new update. Arcade will be much easier, with more grip for cars, and Simcade will feel even more realistic, as handling and turning the wheel will feel smoother than ever before.

Gravity and Brake have been improved, making airborne and ground physics feels more impactful, especially depending on the speed and rotation of your car and the distance of each jump. JDM: Japanese Drift Master is currently available on Steam for $46.73.
