Today, Game Factory showed off that its cars aren’t going to be the only thing that is customizable from the ground up in its highly anticipated upcoming racing sim, JDM: Japanese Drift Master. In a new video, the developers break down just how in-depth you can go with the game’s key binding controls and customized inputs.

Whether you’re playing with a keyboard, gamepad, or steering wheel, every drift and every challenge from the moment you fire up the game, as JDM: Japanese Drift Master will detect all connected input devices. If you want to alter your bindings at any point after the initial choices, you can do so by going to the Settings menu or directly in the Pause Menu during gameplay.

For gamepad users, there are two different presets, but if neither is to your liking, you can rebind any button manually. Steering wheels should be added automatically, but if they aren’t, you’ll have to check if your device is showing up, then assign controls, set up the navigation menu, and save your preset. You can see a more thorough breakdown below:

JDM: Japanese Drift Master takes the players to an open-world, fictional Japanese prefecture – Guntama. The world features over 250 km of roads, famous tourist landmarks, legendary car enthusiast spots, and more for you to explore with brands like Nissan, Subura, and Mazda.

Alongside plenty of cars to choose from and an exciting world to explore, the game also features a narrative told through in-game events and manga to give it a unique feel and ambiance. The story mode revolves around Touma, a Polish driver who dreams of making a name for himself on the local street racing scene.

JDM: Japanese Drift Master will be available exclusively on Steam when it is released for PC on May 21, 2025.
