The team behind the popular online racing platform IRacing announced the new brand iRacing Studios, gathering its growing development and publishing efforts.
While the online racing platforms remain the most well-known activity for the company, we’ve seen plenty of announcements of additional games and simulators coming from under iRacing’s umbrella, so it certainly makes sense for them to have a brand gathering them all.
The brand also has a new website where you can find out about its activities.
At the moment, as mentioned in the announcement, iRacing Studios includes the following projects.
- iRacing, the company’s flagship product for PC;
- NASCAR 25, the Official Game of NASCAR slated for release on console and PC later this year;
- The World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing series, the Official Games of the World of Outlaws, available now on PC and consoles including the Nintendo Switch;
- ExoCross, available now for PC and PlayStation and Xbox consoles;
- iRacing Arcade, the forthcoming title from iRacing and Original Fire Games for PC and consoles;
- and all future titles produced by iRacing.
If you’re unfamiliar with iRacing, it’s a subscription-based, esports-focused racing simulation platform on PC considered by many to be one of the most realistic in the industry. It features precisely simulated cars and LIDAR-scanned tracks that reproduce their real counterparts, making it popular among many real racing drivers who use it for training.
It’s also an attractive esports platform as it features racing regulations closely related to the ones used in real motorsports to create an online esports environment that feels as professional as possible, encouraging clean racing, racecraft, and fair play over winning or placing high in the rankings (albeit the events described in this article cast some shadow on these ideals).
iRacing partners with several real-world racing series and organizations, including Nascar, IMSA, the FIA, and many more. It has just been updated to Season 3 for 2025.
