Krafton’s latest update for inZOI, v0.5.0, has brought a new Holiday Festival event (and decor), business ownership careers, crime careers, law and order, and even more features and customization options.
Considering the update was released in the middle of the winter holiday season, a new limited-time Holiday Festival event has been added to inZOI. Each of the main parks in the city has Christmas-themed booths, snacks, activities, and more.
There are even choir performances in the afternoons, and players will find booths that hold things from gift boxes to ingredients to craft with, like the Cookie Man Crafting Kit.
The Holiday Festival will take place in-game until January 31, 2026. During this time, players will receive several gifts delivered to their virtual home. Once the festival announcement text message has popped up, five Holiday Festival Gift Boxes with 19 different build items will be at the door.
Additionally, a Holiday Festival Special Gift Box will come on midnight on the first and second nights of the festival, which include three additional build items.
Of course, inZOI is in early access, and v0.5.0 is bringing quite a bit of new features and content alongside the Holiday Festival. To start with, Zois can own a business. As owners, they’ll have a hands-on approach, determining things like the employee roster and finding customers. They’ll also set business hours and deal with accounting, too.
There are different presets for customer actions for different kinds of businesses, including cafes, bakeries, bars, and restaurants. There’s also a multi-store management system.
Players will need to pay attention to customer satisfaction, too, which includes real-time feedback.
That’s not the only new “career” path for Zois — Zois can now become thieves and scammers with the new crime interactions. However, it’s not something everyone can do.
Zois can only use crime interactions if they meet the following conditions:
- Has 2,000 Mew or less (or has excessive debt)
- Has significant levels of psychological stress due to family issues (like family support of ongoing conflicts)
- Has the Rulebreaker trait or the Malicious characteristic
Thieves and scammers can find job information at the Suspicious Job Agency, and they can increase their Crime Score.
Additionally, there’s a Wanted Status for those who escape the scene of a crime. This will last up to one day, and any Wanter Zoi who runs into the police during this time will be taken into custody.
Crime begets consequences, and inZOI v0.5.0 brings trials for those with high Crime Scores. At a certain level, Zois with a high enough Crime Score will automatically be arrested. Zois can post bail to prepare for the trial or stay in the detention center.
Players can choose to appoint their Zoi a lawyer. There are free lawyers, though they don’t give much assistance, and elite lawyers can boost the odds of getting a case thrown out or a reduced sentence.
After appointing a lawyer, players will have a trial preparation mission, where they will choose various opportunity cards while answering questions. Doing this successfully means higher odds during the actual trial.
On the flip side, doing this unsuccessfully means a higher odds of an even harsher sentence.
Besides everything mentioned above, there are several other gameplay features and additions. Some of these are as follows:
- Group Interactions after placing Zois in a group
- Multitasking (talking and eating, eating and watching TV, etc)
- Workaholic characteristic
- Skills: Baking, Drink Mixing, and Crime
- Flower Shop, Theater, and Court Room
- Special Urges, Fear-Based Urges, and Situation-Based Urges
- More Rejection Features
- More Context Parenting Interactions
There were also improvements made to ambitions, family trees, inner thoughts, icons, and more. Additionally, there are 55 new character customization options, along with 173 new build items.
The build items include modular windows, roof decorations, and larger dining tables.

InZOI v0.5.0 is available now on PC, and PlayStation 5 players should be getting the game (which will include these features) sometime early next year. Players can also check out the v0.4.0 update from October.
