Nacon and Nacon Studio Ghent have announced Hunting Simulator 3, and new mechanics in the game make it look more realistic than previous entries in the series.
To start with, a new dynamic system SinFauna focuses on animal behavior. Essentially, animals will react to the player’s actions. An upgrade to Unreal Engine 5 helps this, which lets the open world look realistic and natural. The game itself takes place in Colorado and Texas, giving players two pretty different biomes to check out.
Players can explore these areas alone or with others. Of course, no one’s ever really alone since the trusty hunting dog is there. The hunting dog has better behavior and sound design than in previous games.
There are over 40 animals that players can hunt. To do this, players have access to a variety of hunting equipment from brands like Beretta, Browning, and Winchester.
Peter Vermeulen, the Studio Director of Nacon Studio Ghent, shared his thoughts on Hunting Simulator 3:
“We’re delighted to be bringing this adventure to fruition, and to be able to take advantage of new premises that will enable our talented teams to continue working on ambitious projects such as Hunting Simulator 3. This third opus is the culmination of almost 10 years’ experience in hunting game simulation, and we’re concentrating all our efforts on meeting players’ expectations. To achieve this goal, we’re considering community feedback on the first two titles and working closely with professional hunters throughout the game’s development.”
