The gorgeous Chinese city simulator House of Legacy launched in Early Access last week, and S3 Studios and Thermite Games are revealing the week one updates that are coming to the game in a few days.

The week one updates don’t have a specific date yet, but they should come to House of Legacy before May 26. The updates span several different areas of gameplay.

To start with, character portraits will have a higher resolution. Players will also be able to rename farms.

A lot of the week one updates focus on the UI and tooltips, such as the following:

All of the above changes are about navigating and understanding House of Legacy better as a player. However, there are a few gameplay and balance changes, including a lower chance of single-child births, a lower chance of infertility traits, different chances for scoring in the top during the Imperial Exams, and new official farm blueprints.

While this is only the first week of House of Legacy’s release, it has already had several updates to patch out some very early problems. These included the following:

Additionally, House of Legacy plans to share its content roadmap in the near future. The goal right now is to stabilize the current version of the game. There are a slew of issues that are in the game’s “optimization backlog,” which players can view at the end of the game’s update here.

House of Legacy is currently available on PC, where the small team of one developer and two artists is working hard on the above issues.
