Developer S3 Studio and publisher Thermite Games released an extensive development update video about the upcoming ancient Chinese city simulator House of Legacy.
The game, which features a gorgeous isometric point of view combined with hand-drawn buildings and characters, is progressing nicely, and its developers are working hard on improving it further.
In the video that you can enjoy below, we can see how the family’s surname can now be customized, alongside the first name of family members. Newly acquired estates and farms can also be renamed.
A new family tree feature has been added alongside a menu for retainers.
Moving onto the building aspect of the game, you can now add frequently used elements like walls, ponds, and fences with a line-drawing tool. Construction and editing modes have been streamlined into a single mode.
Players can automate the tasks provided to family members and assign them duties, while the military system has been overhauled as well.
A marriage relationship system has been added alongside a feature that helps find potential matches according to customizable parameters. This is certainly becoming more and more similar to the best aspects of Crusader Kings 3.
More changes have been made to city display settings, natural disasters, the management of government affairs if you have family members in relevant positions, and much more.
You can check out the full video and see why we consider this game definitely promising and one to watch going forward.
House of Legacy is coming for PC and can already be wishlisted on Steam.
