Honkai: Star Rail has released another video about Amphoreus, the upcoming world the Astral Express will be headed to, and there’s quite a bit for fans of HSR and HoYoverse to be excited about.
The video, which is called “Of Titans and the Mortal Realms,” is noticeably centered on Ancient Greece. Amphoreus has been teased for over a month now, and the setting of Ancient Greece isn’t new. Between epic-styled text and narratives and stories/artwork that references stories from the time, the theme wasn’t a mystery. However, new references litter the teaser trailer.
The beginning starts with the idea that there’s only light (which is a nod to Christianity, not necessarily Ancient Greek beliefs). From there, Titans created heavens and earths. There’s also iconic imagery like Atlas holding up the world (though in Honkai: Star Rail, it’s Kephale the Sky Father holding up the sun).
Other things that are worth noting include the fact that there were six cities, making the world much larger than previous worlds in the game. These cities include:
- Okhema, “Eternal Holy City”
- Janusopolis, “City of Thousand Gates”
- Castrum Kremnos, “Capital of Might”
- Grove of Epiphany, “Home of the Sages”
- Styxias, “Pearly Shores”
- Aidonia, “Snow City”
However, they’re not all there anymore — war and darkness took many of them. The Golden Epic, as it seems the story will be dubbed, will likely explore this. The trailer also talks about how players will need to challenge the Titans of old to help Kephale.
Additionally, mechas are introduced to the ancient lore in Honkai: Star Rail. This isn’t too surprising since they’ve been a part of the sci-fi adventure from the start.

In case you missed it, Honkai: Star Rail had a pretty major update earlier this month. Several quality-of-life changes were implemented, and there’s a free five-star character to claim.
