Paradox Interactive has revealed the No Compromise, No Surrender expansion for Hearts of Iron IV, as well as the Expansion Pass Two.
No Compromise, No Surrender takes players to East Asia in the years before World War II began in Europe. At this point, Asia was already years into the Second Sino-Japanese War. Players will have four focus trees to choose from: Japan, Communist China, Nationalist China, and the Philippines.
There will also be new military doctrines and an expanded factions system. Plus, there will be new Naval Special Projects and an update to Naval Combat that will play an important role in the expansion.
Hearts of Iron IV: No Compromise, No Surrender will be released on November 20, 2025, on PC. It will be available to purchase on its own or as part of the Hearts of Iron IV Expansion Pass Two.
Expansion Pass Two includes the previously discussed expansion and the following:
- Seaplane Tenders (instantly available): Japanese, Australian, and American seaplane tenders
- Warships of the Pacific cosmetic pack (available Q1 of 2026): new unit art depicting renowned warships around the world
- Thunder at Our Gates Theater Pack (available Q2 2026): introduces new features for organizing campaigns like military headquarters and navy captains, along with new content for Australia, Siam, and Indonesia
- Peace for Our Time content pack (available Q2 2026): adds alternate history tracks for Czechoslovakia, and was created with veteran modders in the community
