Today Paradox announced another expansion coming to its World War II strategy game Hearts of Iron IV, titled Graveyard of Empires.
The expansion is what Paradox defines as a Country Pack, focusing on expanding the gameplay of a number of countries in Asia, leading to interesting alternate history scenarios.
Specifically, we’ll get brand-new focus trees for India, Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan. The release is set on March 4 for PC via Steam (with wishlisting already available), priced at $14.99.
Below you can enjoy a trailer accompanying the announcement and establishing the mood of the setting of this expansion.
Like with the previous expansion Götterdämmerung, there is a rich calendar of reveals ahead of us, during which Paradox will reveal plenty of details about the content of the package.
Of course, you can get the expansion at no additional cost if you have purchased the expansion pack which includes Götterdämmerung and an upcoming unit pack coming in Q3 2025.
If you’re unfamiliar with Hearts of Iron IV, it’s a highly praised World War II grand strategy game released a whopping nine years ago in 2016, and yet, it’s still fully supported by Paradox, as Paradox does.
While it certainly can certainly reproduce World War II with excellent accuracy, perhaps its most appreciated feature is the fact that it lets you explore alternate history in great depth, including the raise of countries who did not play a major part in the historical war, like the ones included in Graveyard of Empires.
