Today Sony and Polyphony Digital announced and detailed the Gran Turismo World Series 2025, providing Gran Turismo 7 fans with a chance to race in the game’s top esports event.
The online qualifiers will be open to all players between April 2 and May 20, 2025. Selection will be based on the GT1 league through six rounds of qualifiers.
36 competitors will be selected to represent twelve manufacturers in the Manufacturers Cup, while only 9 of the best drivers will be selected for the Nations Cup.

Round 1 will kick off the live events in London on June 7, followed by Round 2 in Berlin on September 20 and Round 3 in Los Angeles on November 8.
The World Finals will return to Japan this year, but won’t be in Tokyo. The event will fly to Kyushu and will be held in Fukuoka between December 20 and December 21.
The Nations Cup will feature a seeding system bringing back the three top-ranked drivers from the previous season, Takuma Miyazono from Japan, Kylian Drumont from France, and Jose Serrano from Spain.
Tickets will be available for each of the live events down the line, and of course, they will be broadcast online for those who can’t attend in person.
Gran Turismo 7 is currently available for PS5 and PS4, and Polyphony Digital has been updating the simulator regularly. You can check out the latest patch from February and the content it brought to the track.
