Polyphony Digital has revealed the release date and details of the Spec III Update for Gran Turismo 7, along with news on the Paid Power Pack DLC that’s coming at the same time.
The highly anticipated Spec III Update was teased last week, when players learned that the update would come sometime this week. Now, Polyphony has confirmed what the tease showed, along with more information about what’s coming.
Fans already knew that the update would bring a new cinematic intro, Dunlop tires, an increase to the Collector Level cap (50 to 70), new Weekly Challenges, a Data Logger feature, new World Circuit events, new menus including a Season Menu in the Cafe, and four new Curations in Scapes.

Eight new cars are also part of the Spec III Update. They were teased last week, and though players were able to guess what they were based on the teaser, they’ve now been confirmed and are as follows:
- Ferrari 296 GT3 ’23
- Ferrari 296 GTB ’22
- Fiat Panda 30 CL ’85
- Gran Turismo F3500-B
- Mine’s BNR34 GT-R N1 base
- Mitsubishi FTO GP Version R ’97
- Polestar 5 Performance ’26
- Renault Espace F1 ’95
Players can get a look at them in the game below:
There are also two new tracks coming, the Yas Marina Circuit and Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. Players already knew about these, but they can get a look at what they look like in-game below:
Additionally, there was a lighting improvement that specifically targeted pictures taken with light sources in the background. Players can see before and after pictures below:
The Spec III Update for Gran Turismo 7 will be released on December 4, 2025. A trailer for the update can be found below:
At the same time, the paid Power Pack DLC will be launching for the PlayStation 5 version of Gran Turismo 7. This DLC includes the following:
- Full Race-Weekend Formats with practices, qualifiers, and main events
- 50 new races across 20 categories, including 24-hour races
- 5,000,000 in-game Credits
Players can access the DLC once they’ve bought it by selecting the sailing boat icon at the lower left of the World Map. This will pop up after they’ve completed Menu Book Number Nine.
