During the celebrations for Round 2 of the Gran Turismo 7 World Series in Tokyo, Polyphony Digital and Mazda announced the next Vision GT car.
This time around, it’s the Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Evo, an evolution of the Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Concept. You may be familiar with it because it debuted in Gran Turismo Sport in 2020 and was then added post-release to GT7.
It’ll be added to Gran Turismo 7 at some point later this year.
You can see a tease and hear from the people behind its creation (including Mazda Design Chief Ikuo Maeda) in the video below.
Speaking of the competition itself, Round 2 of the Manufacturer’s Cup was won by Takuma Sasaki driving for Porsche, which means that the German manufacturer is solidly in the lead, having won both rounds.
The Nations Cup’s Round 2 was won by Kylian Drumont from France, ahead of Valerio Gallo from Italy. Drumont now leads the points ranking ahead of Jose Serrano.
You can see all the relevant rankings below.

If you’d like to watch the races, you can check out the recordings of both the Manufacturers Cup and the Nations Cup below.
Gran Turismo 7 is currently available for PS5 and PS4. Polyphony Digital has been updating it regularly since its launch in March 2022.
