Global Farmer Officially Releases, Adding 5 New Crops & Much More Content

Global Farmer

Today, Aerosoft and Thera Bytes officially celebrated the release of their highly anticipated farming simulator, Global Farmer. To mark the full release, a handful of new changes and features are being added to the game, including additional crops, UI improvements, and a dynamic market.

Players will now have access to Millet (Sorghum), Rice, Manioc, Sunflower, and Sugarcane. These five new crops can be planted and thrive in various climates, with Sugarcane yielding the highest growth duration of all the crops in the game.

Up to 12 contracts can be chosen for each tier as of the full release of Global Farmer, ranging from high-yield to low-yield contracts and more crops to choose from each tier; as you go up each tier, the yield capacities will continue to be reduced. To help with farming, they’ve also added a bigger combine, a small weed sprayer, and a large seedbed preparator.

Thanks to the Dynamic Marketplace feature, the market now has a new screen that shows you, with graphs, how the selling prices of crops change. Each price will change at the end of each year, making it lucrative to invest in storage and wait for better prices.

A handful of map editor improvements were made as well, which you can see broken down below:

Speaking of UI improvements, you can customize the map size options between small and huge. Just keep in mind that large and huge may lead to performance issues, and that the northern hemisphere maps are generally smaller due to smaller tile size and will profit the most from being played as large or huge maps.

You can see the full list of patch notes right here. The full game is available on Steam for $19.99. For more information on Global Farmer, including our official Gamescom 2024 preview, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily.
