Sucker Punch and PlayStation have officially announced that Ghost of Yōtei will be heading to PS5 on October 2, 2025. Pre-orders will be available starting next week, on May 2, at 10:00 AM ET, and will include multiple editions and bonuses for those who get it early.
Anyone who pre-orders Ghost of Yōtei will get a unique in-game mask and a set of seven PSN avatars featuring concept art of Atsu and each member of the Yōtei Six at launch. The Standard Edition will be $69.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition is set at a price of $79.99.
The Deluxe Edition includes The Snake’s armor set, alternate dye for your starting armor, a unique horse color, unique saddle dye, an in-game Charm, gold Sword Kit, and an early unlock of Traveler’s Maps.
The Collector’s Edition pricing will be announced at a later date. It included everything above, as well as a replica display edition of Atsu’s Ghost mask, a replica of Atsu’s sash, a replica of the Tsuba from Atsu’s katana, a punch of coins, a foldable papercraft ginkgo tree, and 5×7-inch art cards.
Originally announced during a State of Play event last year, Ghost of Yōtei is set in Hokkaido, Japan, in 1603, 329 years after the events of the first game, Ghost of Tsushima. In it, players will follow Atsu, a female warrior who adopts the persona of “The Ghost” at the dawn of the Edo period to exact revenge for her murdered family.
To enact her vengeance, she’ll need to hunt down the six people responsible: The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon, and Lord Saito. Along the journey, Atsu will explore a vast open world where she can find new weapons, bounties, and skills that will help aid her in her quest for blood.
