Last night at The Game Awards 2024, we got our first official look at the new upcoming RPG set in the world of a Song of Fire and Ice, titled Game of Thrones: Kingsroad. Today, Netmarble and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment gave fans a little more information about the game, including info on its setting and characters.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad will place players in the shoes of a customized character, allowing them to choose what they look like as well as if they’ll be a Sellsword, Knight, or Assassin class. The story will be set in Westeros but will feature a brand-new storyline in which your character becomes the heir to a small noble house in the North.

As the heir to House Tyre, you’ll need to navigate the political environment surrounding The Seven Kingdoms and its Iron Throne, the wildlings and white walkers from beyond the wall, and plenty more dangers lurking amidst the Kingsroad.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad was first revealed back in November, prompting many fans to get excited about the possibility of finally getting to explore the realm in the form of an open-world RPG. That excitement was short-lived when it was revealed that the title would seemingly be mobile exclusive.

While its mobile release still seems to be the focal point, it has been stated that other platforms are also being determined, so there is a possibility for a console and PC release. Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is set to arrive on iOS and Android in 2025.
