Today, Epic Games announced jazz-pop singer Laufey would be the headliner for Fortnite Festival Season 14, which is set to start on April 16, 2026.
Laufey wasn’t the only interesting announcement to accompany the blog post; it was also revealed that her distinctive performance and sound inspired the developers to add a new feature. As of Fortnite Festival Season 14, players will now be able to sing and drum thanks to the brand new Karaoke event that will be a part of the game.
With Mic Vocals, you’ll be able to sing along in real time with any microphone that works in Fortnite on PC and Console. You can take the performance even further with Pro Drums, which supports Rock Band 4 drum kits and other compatible MIDI kits, requiring players to hit actual drum pads and bass pedals.
You can also walk around and shift positions freely in the Jam Ring while you play, and the new Quick Mix UI helps you quickly swap or shuffle tracks while jamming for immediate mashups. Fortnite Festival Season 14 Emberlight Music Pass includes the White Dress Laufey Outfit (instant unlock for Fortnite Crew members) and the Golden Era Laufey Outfit as the final tier reward, featuring the track “Madwoman,” while the Item Shop will offer “Lover Girl” and “Tough Luck”.
Other cosmetics include Laufey-themed instruments, Auras, and the Mei Mei the Bunny Back Bling. This season will also introduce important changes, like the removal of the Battle Stage and making the original Fortnite: Save the World PvE mode free-to-play.

This news comes as a bit of a bright light for Fortnite fans, who have only seen negative news about the title in the last couple of months. Alongside announcing they’d be increasing the cost of Fortnite V-Bucks, Epic Games also recently laid off over 1,000 employees, nearly 20% of its workforce, citing Fortnite’s struggles as the main reason.
