Today, Aerosoft, Binary Impact, and Alchemical Works announced that Forensics: Crime Scene Detective is set to release on July 13, 2026, for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S digitally. A PS5 Physical version will be released at some point as well.
Forensics: Crime Scene Detective puts players in the shoes of a CSI, allowing them to explore a wide range of locations and solve crimes. You’ll investigate apartments, bars, basements, and other locations connected to criminal activity using professional forensic equipment.
Gameplay elements include secure traces of fingerprints on glassware, blood spatter analysis, and discovering digital evidence hidden within mobile devices. The crime scene is just the beginning of the case, as you’ll then head to the labs once evidence has been gathered.

At the laboratory, CSIs can perform DNA profiling, ballistic analysis, and digital forensics to help transform evidence into conclusions. Every lead must be verified, every hypothesis tested, and every conclusion supported by facts if you hope to get the actual perpetrators.
Forensics: Crime Scene Detective is based on experience reports from real experts from the LKA RLP (State Criminal Police Office Rhineland-Palatinate). The developers worked in close collaboration with the LKA RLP to ensure an authentic portrayal of forensic work.
Cases are inspired by real-world scenarios and emphasize realism, logic, and evidence-driven conclusions over scripted outcomes. Players must carefully evaluate information, validate assumptions, and build their cases using scientific methods and investigative reasoning.
