This Week in Flight Simulation News – June 16 to June 22, 2025

This Week in Flight Simulation News Hero Image with Airbus A321neo for Microsoft Flight Simulator taking off, the Simulation Daily logo, and the title.

The flight simulation industry is pretty much unstoppable, churning out news, releases, and reveals basically every day.

Since not everyone has time to keep up with every piece of news, we have published our ninth weekly video overview, including the major announcements and releases from the past week.

Of course, this video comes in addition to our daily news coverage, which isn’t going anywhere. You can consider it as a weekly recap presented in a compact and fun format for those who prefer to consume their news this way.

It won’t cover absolutely everything that happened last week, but it aims to be a comprehensive selection of releases and reveals that will provide you with a fairly complete view of what’s going on in the industry. Incidentally, you can watch the eighth episode from last week if you so wish.

This week, we covered major flight simulators like Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, MSFS 2020, X-Plane (11 and 12), and DCS World, but you may see other sims covered in the future if something big happens involving them.

If you want even more details and more reveals, you can, of course, check out our daily news, which you’ll also find conveniently linked below the video.

Without further ado, you can watch the seventh episode below. Of course, we’d appreciate it if you could like the video and subscribe to our growing YouTube channel, as that’s always extremely helpful and appreciated.

Here’s a list of all of our flight simulation news for the week:

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is available for PC and Xbox Series X|S.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is also available for the same platforms. If you want to see the massive visual difference against Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, you can enjoy our video and screenshot comparison.

X-Plane 12 is currently available for PC and mobile platforms.

DCS World is also available for PC and it’s free-to-play, although additional payware modules are pretty much required.
