Fireshine Games Welcomes New Chief Portfolio Officer Jasper Tanner-Barnes

Fireshine Games Jasper Tanner-Barnes

UK publisher Fireshine Games has appointed Jasper Tanner-Barnes as Chief Portfolio Officer, a brand-new role at the company.

As the first Chief Portfolio Officer, Tanner-Barnes will focus on building relationships with other development partners, including forming and maintaining these relationships. He’ll also be tasked with deciding the portfolio and strategy behind it for Fireshine Games as part of the management team.

Of course, he’ll also be in charge of all the acquisitions and business development processes for Fireshine Games.

Jasper Tanner-Barnes has a history with scouting and talent acquisition, specifically from his years at Team17. There, he rose to Head of Game Scouting after one year as a Talent Acquisition Manager, according to his LinkedIn.

While with Team17, Tanner-Barnes recognized the indie gems Conscript (Catchweight Studio), Sworn (Windwalk Games), Dredge (Black Salt Games), and the upcoming Date Everything! (Sassy Chap Games). He also points out that there are over 10 games he’s also brought on board that he can’t talk about quite yet.

He also worked in various other talent acquisition roles for six years before his time at Team17. Some of this experience was also in the games industry, such as with Ubisoft Leamington and Sega Hardlight.

Tanner-Barnes is not only in a newly-appointed role, he’s also at a brand-new company. Fireshine Games is welcoming him to the company as well.

Brian Foote, the recently appointed CEO of Fireshine Games, shared his excitement for Tanner-Barnes’ position:

“We’re delighted to be able to welcome Jasper to Fireshine Games. The knowledge, passion and experience he brings will help us build deeper relationships with developers and partners and take Fireshine Games towards the next chapter in our journey.”

Fireshine Games has a lot going on, as Tales of Seikyu also hits early access today on PC.
