Today, during the Final Fantasy XIV Letter from the Producer Live 93, Square Enix shared a deep dive into the upcoming Beastmaster job.
This follows the information revealed during the Letter from the Producer Live 91, so you can check out our dedicated article for basic details.
We started the livestreamed panel by talking about the abilities the Beastmaster can use and ask a beast to use. We also take a look at the actions granted by Borrow, depending on the type of beast you’ve summoned.

We then get to see these actions in action, no pun intended.
Next is a look at the Instinctual skills. The Beastmaster has four, while each beast has one. By doing them in sequence, you can trigger an Instinctual Combo.
They have a color affinity, and if you perform them in a clockwise direction on the Beastmaster Gauge, they will have a greater effect.

You can see it in gameplay action below.
We then hear more about the Crucible of the Unbroken. It’s a single-player experience that unlocks by completing the level 30 job quest. It helps you level up by gaining Beastmaster experience, on top of making your beasts level up as well, as shown in the slides below.
At level 30, the focus of the Beastmaster gameplay shifts from traveling the world to capture beasts to the Crucible of the Unbroken.

Below you can enjoy some dedicated gameplay. It’s worth mentioning that this is at a harder difficulty level.
Pets can change their appearance when they reach their maximum rank at 25.
Completing all stages will unlock additional difficulty levels or degrees. There are three degrees, and what we saw above was the 2nd degree. Higher-level difficulty doesn’t add mechanics like Savage, but simply increases enemy HP and damage dealt.
Completing all stages on the third degree gives achievements and rewards. You can also compete on the Crucible Rankings that will average your three latest scores on the third degree. High-ranking players will receive rewards that will have seasons like PvP.

Final Fantasy XIV is currently available for PC, PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X|S.
The next expansion titled Evercold will release in January 2027, and earlier today we learned plenty of new details.
