During the second day of EVO 2024 and following the grand finals of The King of Fighters XV, SNK had a few announcements about its upcoming fighting game Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves and more.

A new character has been revealed for the upcoming title during the livestreamed event, and it’s Kevin Rian. The S.W.A.T. member protecting South Town and dedicated to the mission of finding the murderer of his best friend will return to the series as a playable fighter.

He’s voiced by Akhiiro Sakata in Japanese and Jonah Scott in English, and he was revealed with a new trailer, which you can see below.

The game is still slated for a release in early 2025 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Yet, that’s not all, as SNK had another surprise in store for its fans in the form of another fighting game re-release.

This time around, the historical developer from Osaka will launch SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos, bringing back the old and glorious mash-up from the Neo-Geo and PS2 era, originally released in 2003.

The game, which includes 36 fighters from the SNK and Capcom franchises, is actually being shadow-dropped right now and you can already find it available for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and GoG.

Improvements include the much-appreciated rollback netcode, lobbies, a tournament mode, a hitbox display mode, and a gallery mode.

You can enjoy a trailer below.

If you’re interested in reading more news about SNK’s plans for the future, you can check out our article published yesterday and featuring the developer panel hosted at EVO.

Interestingly, the developer officially confirmed that it has a new Art of Fighting game and a Samurai Shodown action RPG in the works, albeit they’re both very early in their development cycle.

With the second day of EVO just started, we can expect plenty more fighting game news today.
