Gato debuted in Garou Mark of the Wolves and has appeared in further installments of SNK’s fighting games a bit more sporadically than other characters. That being said, he was included as DLC in The Kind of Fighters XV.

He’s a vengeful martial artist seeking to settle the score with his father who nearly blinded him in a previous tournament. While he almost completely recovered from his wound, he found out that relying on his sight slowed him down, so he fights in complete darkness.

You can check him out below, voiced in English by Cory Yee. If you’d rather hear the Japanese voice-over by Yuma Yamaguchi, you can find the Japanese trailer on the official SNK YouTube channel.

We also get a few screenshots directly from the press release, showing Gatio’s moves.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is releasing on April 24, 2025, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

We already know that the game will receive two interesting guest characters from the Street Fighter franchise, Ken and Chun Li. On the other hand, SNK is returning the favor with two of its own characters, Terry Bogart has already launched for Street Fighter 6, while Mai Shiranui will come early next year.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is a brand-new fighting game and the sequel to the old and glorious Fatal Fury series, known in Japan as Garou Densetsu (Legend of the Hungry Wolf).

The franchise, which spanned the Neo Geo era before going dormant, is known and loved by many fans not only for its gameplay but also for its intricate storytelling and interesting characters.
