Today, Fanatec revealed new flagship hardware for sim racing enthusiasts, the Podium DD and the Podium Pedals.
Both have been revealed at SimRacing Expo 2025 and will release in Q1 2026, with pricing to be announced at a later date and a 3-year warranty in all regions.
We start with the Podium DD wheel base, which will replace the Podium Wheel Base DD2 in Fanatec’s flagship lineup, born as an evolution of the iconic ClubSport DD series.
It’s a powerful beast capable of guaranteeing a whopping 25 Nm holding torque, and you can read a full lineup of specs below.
Guaranteed torque stability
- Consistent 25 Nm holding torque (33 Nm peak overshoot)
- Optimized thermal management
- Reinforced electronics and heatsink
Aluminum internals for strength and precision
- Aluminum motor shaft
- Aluminum bearing seats (front and rear)
Full metal casing for strength and heat dissipation
- Diecast aluminum front and rear casing with diamond cut accents
- Anodized aluminum body with cooling fins also function as the side rail mounting system (bottom mounting also possible)
Custom-designed Direct Drive servo motor
- Developed in Germany specifically for the Podium DD
- Optimized skew angle on rotor magnets reduces cogging torque
- Patented, exclusive FluxBarrier technology improves motor efficiency and smoothness
FullForce technology
- Super low-latency detail effects through fine motor frequency control
