Fairy Tail 2 isn’t the average anime ARPG. Not only will the game include iconic characters, but brand-new story content is coming as well.
Fairy Tail 2 will be a direct sequel to the first game that was released in 2020, according to a press release. The game will let players take control of Natsu and other notable characters like Lucy, Ezra, Gray, and Wendy.
The story will cover the Alvarez Empire Arc, where the Fairy Tail guild will take on Emperor Zeref and the mage group Spriggan 12. These characters include popular names like Ajeel, Brandish, Dimaria, and Irene.
However, that’s not where the game will end. While the final battle of the manga is the climax of the Alvarez Empire Arc, Fairy Tail 2 will have a brand-new story that follows the battle. This story is completely unique to the game.
Mangaka Hiro Mashima-san is supervising the game. Since he’s the original author and illustrator of Fairy Tail, fans can feel secure in the new story coming with Fairy Tail 2. Koei Tecmo released a new image of Lucy and Natsu talking included in the new content.
The action RPG game is set to release in Winter 2024 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. The game’s website has information to wishlist it on PlayStation and PC. Unfortunately, no such option is available for the Nintendo Switch yet.
There’s not too much about the game revealed yet, but excited fans can view the teaser trailer above and new screenshots and artwork below.
