Today SCS Software revealed and surprise-released another relevant truck to its popular sim Euro Truck Simulator 2, and it’s the Volvo FH Series 6
The developers introduced the truck during a livestream and mentioned that it comes with 12 cabin options including a massive “XXL” version.
7 chassis options are available, from 4 X 2 to 8 X 4. Plenty more customization options are available including interior, accessories aplenty, transmissions, and more.
It also includes the most powerful engine option in the simulator, capable of producing 780 HP.
That being said the series 6 wasn’t the only surprise today, and at the end of the livestream, SCS also announced and released the Volvo FH Series 5. Both trucks are free and they’re available on Steam right now (Series 5 and Series 6).
You can check out a trailer for each truck below.
Incidentally, Volvo itself is promoting this release, and the manufacturer released a trailer of its own, which you can enjoy below.
You can watch the full livestream below.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 is available exclusively for PC and it recently received update 1.53 with the rework of Germany, (including Berlin, München, Mannheim, Leipzig, and Dresden) and another rework for the Volvo FH Series 4. A free add-on including the Iveco S-Way has also been launched.
A DLC dedicated to Greece has been recently released a few days ago and you can take a look at screenshots of the Highways, a massive cement production plant, the Corinth Canal, industries and depots, some natural vistas, big cities, smaller ones on the coast, the hotels, and an extensive gameplay video.
Another DLC named Nordic Horizon focused on Norway, Sweden, and Finland is also coming (with no release date announced just yet). You can check out its landscapes and landmarks.
Recently, the simulator received a handy Driving Academy feature which can certainly help out those who are new to trucking get up to speed with all these complex maneuvers.
