Today SCS Software officially released the latest big patch for its popular sim Euro Truck Simulator 2, numbered 1.53.
The update shouldn’t feel too new for virtual trucking enthusiasts, as it has been in open beta for a couple of weeks, but ow it’s polished and ready for prime time.
Arguably the biggest feature of the update is the latest step of the rework of Germany, including Berlin, München, Mannheim, Leipzig, and Dresden. Each city has been reworked in detail thanks to the evolution of the developer’s technology, with the local industry reproduced for truckers to seek jobs.
We also get the rework of the Volvo FH Series 4, with a completely overhauled cabin. On the outside, new CAD data allowed better accuracy on the front and rear fenders, bumpers, roof deflectors, and more.
The interior has been changed with more accurate textures and materials, and you can choose different trims, steering wheels, and seats. The chassis has been remodeled with better details and the tuning parts have been reworked as well.
You can even paint your truck in the special 25 Years of Volvo FH livery.
New quality-of-life options include the ability to visualize the options that have been changed from default easily, alongside smooth and auto camera centring-

Euro Truck Simulator 2 is available exclusively for PC. A DLC dedicated to Greece DLC will release on December 4 and you can take a look at screenshots of the Highways, a massive cement production plant, the Corinth Canal, industries and depots, some natural vistas, big cities, smaller ones on the coast, the hotels, and an extensive gameplay video.
Recently, the simulator received a handy Driving Academy feature which will certainly help with the challenging maneuvers required in Greece, while another DLC is in the works titled Nordic Horizons and focusing on Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
