Euro Truck Simulator 2 Reveals the Fjords and Mountains of Nordic Horizon DLC

Euro Truck Simulator 2 developer SCS Software released new screenshots and details about the upcoming Nordic Horizon DLC, and this time, it’s rather iconic stuff.

You can’t have a “Nordic Horizon” without fjords and mountains, and that’s exactly what today’s post is all about.

The DLC will include plenty of fjords, quite obviously, including Romsdalsfjorden, Innfjorden, Saltdalsfjorden, Skjerstadfjorden, and Trondheimsfjord. The name may be familiar, as it’s where the city of Trondheim is located.

Players will also be presented with winding road driving through mountainous terrain, mostly outside of urban centers, with only small houses and campsites in sight.

That being said, you’ll also visit unique cities located at the water’s edge, and you’ll be able to cross the fjords themselves via bridges, tunnels, and ferry rides.

Some examples are the ferry terminal in Skutvik, the Tresfjord Bridge in Tresfjordbrua, and the Tennfloget Tunnel in Torrfjorden.

You can check out all the screenshots below.

If you’re unfamiliar with Euro Truck Simulator 2, it’s a truck-driving simulator available for PC, but PS5 and Xbox versions have been recently announced. The PC version has recently been updated to version 1.56.

We don’t know when the Nordic Horizons DLC will be released just yet, but you can check out its gameplay reveal, on top of the landscapeslandmarksthe city of Ouluthe churches, the lakes of Finlandmore roadside landmarksthe town of AndenesKiruna, and its famous wooden church.

refresh of the Scandinavian DLC is also coming in parallel, of which you can enjoy the city of AarhusMotorway 16 in Denmark, and Copenhagen.

The development team is hard at work updating other areas of the map, starting with the Benelux region’s rework, of which we recently saw the port of Rotterdam and the city of Brussels. Another rework has been teased for the UK.

The Iceland DLC was announced a few weeks ago, and you can enjoy additional screenshots, in addition to its churches, and the Ring Road.

Another interesting DLC will bring Coaches into the game, and we recently saw its bus stations and the Scania Touring.
