SCS Software hosted an extensive livestream showing off the upcoming Driving Academy feature for Euro Truck Simulator 2.
The livestreamed broadcast, which is the second of a series on the topic, focuses on the highly anticipated feature that is coming down the line to both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and its sister game American Truck Simulator.
We get to see how a series of scenarios both teach the player how to face real-world situations and challenges that truck drivers have to deal with daily, and test their proficiency.
It’s certainly a good addition to the popular truck simulators, considering that driving a truck isn’t exactly intuitive for people not used to such large vehicles, and players are often forced to seek help outside of the game.
You can watch it below.
While we know that the Driving Academy is coming to both simulators with update 1.52, we don’t yet know exactly when that will release.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator are both available exclusively for PC. Both simulators have been updated to version 1.51 recently, with the addition of quite a few features.
American Truck Simulator also just received the Arkansas DLC alongside the much-awaited Mack Pinnacle truck. The addition of Louisiana has also just been teased, while Missouri is coming. European Truck Simulator 2 will soon go to Greece.
A few days ago the games were in attendance at IAA Transportation 2024 in Hannover, once more showcasing the inevitable ties between simulation and real-world transportation and logistics.
