The Esports World Cup 2025 starts today, kicking off seven weeks of intense international esports competition between various games and esports clubs. If you don’t know much about the event or how to join in on the fun, the Esports World Cup Foundation has revealed a guide for the event.
The Opening Ceremony will take place on July 10, 2025, at 10 pm KSA/3 pm EST. This event is being headlined by Post Malone and will include music from artists like Dino (Seventeen), Duckwrth, and Telle Smith (The Word Alive). Fans can tune in to the EWC Spotlight stream (located on the top of this page).
Some events have already started, though no major championships will begin until July 10, after the Opening Ceremony.
There are 24 official esports titles coming to the main stage. Considering the Esports World Cup 2025 takes place over seven weeks, this means there’s a busy schedule. Fans can look at the schedule here to find out when their favorite games are on.
All of the events can be streamed directly on the Esports World Cup 2026 website.
While the main stage and group stage are going on, there will be several other festivities taking place in other areas. For example, a partnership between the Esports World Cup and Aramco is bringing simulation rigs in for attendees to use and even compete with.
Tickets to see the matches in person and attend the festival around the Esports World Cup 2025 are still available. The event takes place at The Boulevard in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
These seven weeks of esports competition reflect nearly 50 esports organizations, or clubs. These clubs are all competing in the Club Championship, which pits the clubs against each other in a point system across all of the main games.
Fans from around the world can also take part in the Fantasy League, which has a $200k prize pool. This gives players a chance to take part in the action by placing their own predictions on the table.
Here at Simulation Daily, we’ll continue covering the major events throughout the Esports World Cup 2025, so be sure to check back in over the next two months.
