Crossfire has officially been announced as part of the Esports World Cup 2025, the last new announcement before the holidays.
This is the first time that Crossfire will be part of the Esports World Cup. The South Korean FPS may have been released in 2007, but it’s still one of the most popular games in its genre in many Asian countries. In fact, the game calls itself the “biggest FPS in the world.”
Its inclusion in the Esports World Cup 2025 is exciting news for fans and the game’s esports teams.
Crossfire is one of the few new games that has been announced for Esports World Cup 2025 so far, joining the ranks of Chess and Rennsport.
However, there are still six more games to be announced. The next two will come in 15 days, while the last four will be announced in stages three weeks after that. The Esports World Cup is an 8-week celebration of competitive video games held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. It lasts through July and August and features games in a variety of genres. 2024 was the first year for the event, and 2025 will be interesting as well — the first Olympic Esports Games will also be held in Saudi Arabia next year.
