Darkflow Software and Gaijin Entertainment have released the Far Eastern Front update for the free-to-play WWII FPS, Enlisted, introducing a new battlefield, weapons, vehicles, and more.

The new battlefield is located on the Eastern Front, as the update’s name would suggest. The battle between the USSR and Japan has opened up a frontline in northeastern China towards the end of WWII, and the new battlefield shows off some of the landscapes and characteristics found in the area.

With the update comes several new weapons, vehicles, and premium squads. Additionally, the other weapons, vehicles, and squads have been balanced for the new additions.

The new weapons and vehicles are as follows:

  • Weapons
    • Type 88 rifle (USSR BR I, Research)
    • PPSh-41 (S) (USSR BR V, Premium)
    • KE7 (Germany BR III, Research)
    • Browning M1919A4 (USA BR IV, Research)
    • Type 2a (6.5mm) (Japan BR V, Research)
    • Captured M1918A2 (Japan BR III, Premium)
  • Vehicles
    • Ferdinand (Germany BR V, Research)
    • B-25J-30 (USA BR V, Research)
    • PBJ-1H (USA BR V, Premium)
    • Chi-To Late (Japan BR IV, Research)

Vehicles can now be customized with different camouflage for different campaigns.

Player profiles have also been updated, showing players’ new statistics. These stats were already being tracked by the game, but the update makes it so that players can easily see (and flaunt) them.

Graphics improvements are also included in the update, making the fighting more realistic than ever. Certain explosions and shell impacts leave craters, and when vehicle armor is hit, it can glow red (as metal does when it gets hot). Plus, new special effects were added for paper and electrical objects.

Last but not least is a system change that affects the placement of rally points and spawns on APCs. Now, the system will think about the shape of the capture point, and it will display the distance from the restricted zone.

Players can check out an official video for the Far Eastern Front update for Enlisted below:
