Earlier today, publisher Hooded Horse revealed they’ll be partnering with renowned French strategy developers Amplitude Studios to bring Endless Legend 2 to PC in Early 2025. When released, the sequel will come out on Steam as a part of its early access program.
Endless Legend 2 transports players to the world of Saiadha: a breathtaking yet perilous oceanic world where ever-changing seasons and monstrous tidefalls dramatically transform the landscape. When the water begins to deplete, new challenges and obstacles emerge, ranging from dangerous beasts to the ever-changing environment itself.
The 4X strategy title places you in the shoes of a hero who is tasked with exploring this treacherous new world in order to make a name for themselves. To do so, you’ll need to choose between a variety of factions, each of which offers its own distinct philosophies, strengths, and playstyles, offering a unique gameplay experience.
Once you choose your side, you’ll head out and conquer new territories, earn valuable experience, and build deep relationships with allies and rivals alike. Since the game is heading into early access, there are only four factions at the moment, though two more are going to be added when Endless Legend 2 gets a full release.
Since no two paths are the same, thanks to each faction’s asymmetrical gameplay, replay value will be something that veteran strategy players are sure to enjoy. The original Endless Legend was released back in 2014 by Amplitude Studios, garnering a considerable amount of positive reviews thanks to its enjoyable take on strategy. Whether playing the computer or with a group of friends, the game’s mechanics, battles, backstabs, and surprise coups made for quite the unique 4X experience.
