Funcom has explained more about the upcoming server closures in Dune: Awakening, giving players instructions for how to navigate the closures if they’re impacted and alternate options for players who want to play a more solo experience.
On May 26, there are quite a few servers (or Worlds) in Dune: Awakening from around the world being closed as Funcom tries to “rebalance” player populations. The following servers will be affected:
- Asia: Al Dhanab, Bezel II, Bifrost, Essen, Foum al-Hout, Ishia, Kolhar, Lepus, Meridian, Quadra, Revona
- Europe: Actaeon, Aiglon, Archidamas III, Arkon, Bahamonde, Batigh, Buzzell, Calypso, Centaurus, Chapterhouse, Circinus, Cycliadas, Daedros, Deneb, Dione, Dur, Eumenes, Gansireed, Ghanima, Grumman, Helios, Hicetas, Horologium, Indra, Ipyr, Ixalco, Jansine, Karna, Lacerta, Lampadas, Laurrant, Leto, Lothar, Lynx, Martijoz, Menelaus, Mihna, Molitor, Nereus, Niveus, Numenor, Octans, Orion, Ostara, Persephone, Phaedra, Pisces, Porthos, Remus, Richese, Rossak, Salusa Secundus, Saturnia, Serpens, Dhamal, Suk Alusus, Tantalus, Thule, Volans

- Oceania: Aerarium IV, Elara, Libra, Megara, Orpheus, Scutum
- South America: Mimosa, Othello
These Worlds will also be marked in-game, so players will be able to verify that the server is closing and begin the process to migrate their character. Character Transfers that are done because of a World Closure will not require a Transfer Token. Additionally, bases and vehicles will be brought to the new world with the Base Reconstruction Tool and Vehicle Backup Tool, respectively.

For players who don’t have a Base Reconstruction Tool and/or Vehicle Backup Tool, they will be available via the Claim Rewards menu.
Before transferring to a new World, players should make sure their base is easy to rebuild in another location. They should also disassemble their vehicles so that they transfer with their character correctly.
Funcom also explained to players that they can move between Sietches, so it’s worth scouting ahead before settling down and reconstructing their base.
Certain busy Worlds that are staying open will have limited spots available for transfers. The sooner players migrate their characters, the more options they’ll have.
For players who enjoyed playing on a low-population server and would rather go to a solo server, they’ll simply choose a self-hosted server or private server when they migrate their character. However, it’s important to note that these characters will not be able to transfer into official Worlds once they’ve gone to a private or self-hosted server.
