Today, Bethesda and id Software released a new trailer of the upcoming first-person shooter Doom: The Dark Ages.
The video focuses on story cutscenes during the first half, providing a look at our antagonist and allies.
The second part of the video focuses on gameplay, including the super-cool mecha and dragon that we’ll be able to ride as we do the Slayer’s work, which, of course, involves a lot of slaying.
You can watch it below.
If you want to see more about Doom: The Dark Ages, you can check out a video from the Developer Direct in January.
If you’re unfamiliar with the game, it’s a prequel to the Doom released in 2016 and the following Doom Eternal, transporting our slayer in a mystical proto-medieval setting where he’s bound to serve as the super weapon of Gods and Kings and he’ll get plenty more chances to bash the demons’ heads in.
This time around, he’s got a completely new weapon, the Shield Saw. If you think Warhammer 40k’s chainswords are nice, you’re probably going to love the Shield Saw.
The game will release on May 15, 2025, for PC (via Steam and Battle.net), Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. Of course, it’ll also be available on Game Pass.
A Premium Edition will be available, including two days of early access, a campaign DLC, a digital artbook, a digital soundtrack, and the Divinity Skin pass, which includes a skin for the slayer, a skin for the dragon, and one for the Atlan mecha.
