Today, during the celebrations of the South by Southwest film festival in  Austin, Texas, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Kojima Productions hosted an interesting panel about Death Stranding 2: On The Beach.

The livestream started hot with a brand-new trailer created for the event featuring the song “To the Wilder” performed by Woodkid.

We also get the introduction of new members of the cast, like Luca Marinelli and Alissa Jung (who are husband and wife in real life) as Neil and Lucy, on top of Debra Wilson as Doctor.

Perhaps even more notably, the trailer reveals the release date of the game, which is coming on June 26, 2025, for PS5 with pre-orders starting on March 17.

You can watch the trailer below.

A Collector’s Edition will be available with the game (it’s just a code and not a disc), a collector’s box, a 15 inches state of the Magellan Man, a 3 inches Dollman figurine, art cards, a letter from Hideo Kojima, and a bunch of in-game items including the early unlock of a machine gun, three skeletons, and three patches.

Early access on June 24 is also included and will also come with the Digital Deluxe Edition alongside the digital bonuses mentioned above.

Three more skeletons and the early unlock of a custom hologram will be provided as a pre-order bonus as you can see below.

You can watch the full panel below.

If you’re interested in playing Death Stranding before the sequel releases, it’s available on PC, on PS5, and it has recently been released on Xbox Series X|S.
