DCS World Reveals Assets Coming With WWII Pacific Theatre of Operations Assets Pack

DCS World PTO Assets Pack

Eagle Dynamics revealed the full list of the assets that will be included in the upcoming Pacific Theatre of Operations 1944 Assets Pack.

The module is desigend to help you simulate World War II in the Pacific, in support of the recently released F4U-1D Corsair and Marianas map, on top of the upcoming F6F-3 Hellcat. Incidentally, we also hear that a playable A6M5 Zero is also coming.

It includes air, ground, and naval units for both the United States and the Empire of Japan, focusing on the summer of 1944.

We have no indication of price, but when the module launches, those who already own the World War II Assets Pack will be able to purchase it with a 30% discount.

Here’s the full list.

We also hear that changes will be made to the Mission Save state, which will keep track of destroyed objects. On top of that, a future change will save a group’s waypoint parameters, includes the ability to save specific ground vehicles’ parameters such as ROE and more.

If you’re unfamiliar with DCS World, it’s a free-to-play flight simulator focusing on military aviation from World War 2 to the present day. It’s available exclusively for PC.

While the sim is free-to-play, it pretty much requires paid modules to be fully enjoyed, including aircraft, campaigns, and maps. That being said, the Eagle Dynamics has a robust free trial program that was just updated.

You can try the following modules at no cost for 15 days every six months.

Recently, Eagle Dynamics unveiled more of its plans for the implementation of the dynamic campaign, while the upcoming Mig-29A Fulcrum and C-130J Hercules have been made available for pre-order.

The developer also provided a look at more content coming this year and beyond, including an F-15C Eagle and an F-35 Lightning II.
