With the new DCS World map featuring Germany during the Cold War in the pipeline, developer Ugra-Media released a batch of new videos.
This time around we get to see four airbases, Spangdahlem, Buchel, Gross Dolin, and Wittstock. On top of that, we take a look at one of the working tank ranges (both from the air and driving an actual tank) and the transmitter station on Mount Brocken.
The map, parts of which (Berlin and Ramstein Airbase) we saw a few days ago, certainly looks very detailed, and it’s bound to be a very popular destination considering how many great Cold War-era aircraft we have for DCS World.
If you’re unfamiliar with DCS World, it’s a free-to-play military flight simulator focusing on aviation from World War 2 to the present day. It’s available exclusively for PC on Eagle Dynamics’ own store and Steam.
Recently, Eagle Dynamics revealed its plans for the implementation of the dynamic campaign and more. We also heard about another map focused on the Marianas during World War II.
It’ll certainly be interesting to try out the dynamic campaign on the Cold War map, but we’re likely going to have to wait more than a few months for that. Luckily, the community of campaign creators is very active, and I expect to see quite a few made soon enough.
In the meanwhile, Eagle Dynamics also provided a look at more content coming this year and beyond, including an F-15C Eagle and an F-35 Lightning II.
