Ugra-Media released plenty more footage of the upcoming Cold War Germany map in the works for the flight simulator DCS World.
We get to see plenty of locations of the map in several vehicles, from fighter jets to helicopters, and even ground vehicles.
We get to see a variety of military bases, both dedicated to ground forces and airbases like Bitburg, on top of civilian airports like Berlin Schönefeld and Leipzig.
We also see the city of Leipzig itself, and it’s certainly a blast from the past for those of us who are old enough to have seen the Cold War. Everything appears to be reproduced in great detail.
A lot of effort has been put into reproducing the iconography and signage, bringing history back to life and making the ground-based tours worth watching in the videos below.
If you’d like to see more, you can check out plenty more videos from last week and even more from the week before.
If you’re unfamiliar with DCS World, it’s a free-to-play military flight simulator focusing on aviation from World War 2 to the present day. It’s available exclusively for PC on Eagle Dynamics’ own store and Steam.
Recently, Eagle Dynamics unveiled its plans for the implementation of the dynamic campaign and more. We also heard about another map focused on the Marianas during World War II.
The developer also provided a look at more content coming this year and beyond, including an F-15C Eagle and an F-35 Lightning II.
