During the teaser, an F-16 on approach to an airport is asked to hold following the crash of a Hercules on the runway.

After a while, the pilot is directed to land on “Runway Bravo,” which is simply a nearby road, and then to taxi back to the airport. That’s certainly a bit sketchy, bit the drama is definitely worth it.

You can watch it below.

Acrtic Thunder is a pair of campaign set on the recently released Kola Map for DCS World. A while ago, we saw another video focusing on its features.

While this part of the campaign focuses on American F-16Cs, the other part in development at Baltic Dragon will focus on the Finnish F/A-18Cs.

If you’re unfamiliar with DCS World, it’s a free-to-play military flight simulator focusing on aviation from World War 2 to the present day. It’s available exclusively on PC (via Steam or Eagle Dynamics’ own store).

That being said, it’s worth mentioning that fully enjoying the simulator requires the purchase of additional modules, so it’s “free” only in name, even if Eagle Dynamics has a pretty solid trial and introductory discount programs, on top of frequent sales.

DCS World is well known among enthusiasts to be very challenging for those who aren’t familiar with advanced flying simulation, and flying its more cutting-edge aircraft requires days or even weeks of study. Of course, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing and many find it very rewarding and pretty much the whole point of flight simulation.
