Today, the developers of the popular indoor cycling app Rouvy launched update 4.2, adding plenty of new features and quality-of-life implementations.
Rouvy version 4.2 is one of the most significant updates to the app yet, adding Ride Next, Slope Workouts, Mallorca Tour, Anti-Cheat, and Pause Button. Each of these features works not only to create a fun experience for riders who want a good workout, but also a fair one.
Ride Next and Ride Again allow players to jump straight into the next route or repeat their favorite with one click, eliminating the need for menus or searching. This means they can challenge themselves by doing back-to-back Slope Workouts, a new mechanic that lets you train by gradient instead of watts to make for one heck of an incline challenge.
A brand new location also comes alongside update 4.2, the island of Mallorca. Now, you’ll be able to race across 12 iconic routes, each featuring its own exclusive reward that can be unlocked after vigorous effort.
You can also set your favorite workouts and download specific routes to play offline, resulting in fewer clicks and a quicker, more intuitive ride. Anyone who is competing online will be safe from cheaters with the introduction of Anti-Cheat, which will monitor and act in real time to keep competition fair.
Last but not least, if you need to take a quick break without losing any progress, simply press the pause button. When you do, a full overview of your stats so far will pop up, giving you plenty of motivation to keep going upon your return.
Rouvy is currently available for Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, iPad, and Apple TV. It requires a subscription with a few different options available, albeit a 7-day free trial is available.
