Last month, during the G-Star gaming event in Korea, fans got their first official hands-on look at one of the most captivating bosses in Crimson Desert, Hexe Marie. Today, Pearl Abyss is showcasing what everyone who attended the event got to see in person via another captivating boss battle video.

Hexe Marie is shrouded in tattoos and crows, encapsulating the essence of darkness in her fights. The fight takes place in the Smoking Lands location, on a battlefield littered with urns and a slew of other creepy things that set the ambiance of this haunting encounter.

Unlike previous Crimson Desert boss fights that have been shown off so far, Hexe Marie features two phases. From what we can see in the video below, specific tactics work better than others, especially using ice and explosive arrows to immobilize her swarms.

According to Pearl Abyss, the video above showcases some of the changes and improvements that they’ve already made to the fight after the G-Star event. Most notably, they improved the overall UI and target lock system for the fight.

For anyone who hasn’t heard about the highly anticipated upcoming open-world action-adventure title, Crimson Desert, it follows a lone mercenary as he navigates both the stunning beauty and cutthroat dangers of Pywel. The war-torn continent is fully explorable, allowing players to complete quests, defeat dangerous enemies, and unlock powerful items in the hopes of finding fame and glory.

Crimson Desert is currently set to arrive in Q2 2025 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Be sure to check back to Simulation Daily for more updates and boss fight gameplay videos as soon as they are revealed.
