Crimson Desert Shows Spectacular War-Torn World & Brutal Combat in New Gameplay

Crimson Desert Gamescom 2025 Gameplay Hero

Today, Pearl Abyss shared a whopping 13 minutes of gameplay of its upcoming fantasy action adventure Crimson Desert to celebrate its appearance at Gamescom.

The gameplay showcases Crimson Desert’s beautiful visuals, explosive action combat, a brutal boss battle, and even a look at its gorgeous open world.

Interestingly, we’re immersed in a land that is torn by war, and as such, we’ll meet plenty of battles and skirmishes as the Calphadean army and rebel forces clash on the field.

Being an RPG, there’s a variety of quests, from destroying watchtowers with cannons to finding allies that need aid and making sure they’re safe.

The protagonist Kliff can traverse the world on horseback, but we also get to see his “Crow’s Wing” ability that lets him glide across the world.

In combat, Kliff can use the Axiom Bracelet to enhance his attacks with fire, lightning, and ice elemental attributes. On top of that, firing Artillery Whistling Arrow calls artillery strikes on enemy forces and structures.

Of course, there is plenty more to see, and you can enjoy it in the video below.

Crimson Desert is coming for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It was supposed to come this year, but it has recently been delayed to Q1 2026.

It’s worth mentioning that despite the name, it’s unrelated to Pearl Abyss’ popular MMORPG, Black Desert Online.

We’ll play the game next week at Gamescom, so you can expect our preview very soon.

If you want to see more, you can enjoy plenty more gameplay from last year’s Gamescom, an even more extensive segment, and another boss fight from G-Star.
