The Cozy Games Awards 2026 winners have been announced as part of the Cozy and Family Friendly Games Celebration this year. Additionally, the announcements came with a Special Showcase that held plenty of game announcements and news, and a plethora of cozy games are on sale on Steam to celebrate.
There are six categories in the Cozy Games Awards 2026: Best Debut Game, Best Family Friendly Game, Best Co-Op Game, Most Anticipated Game, Best Short Game, and Best Cozy Game.
The nominations and winners for each of the categories is as follows:
- Best Debut Game: Discounty (Winner), Tiny Bookshop, Spilled!, Is This Seat Taken?, Snacko
- Best Family Friendly Game: Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar (Winner), Two Point Museum, Cast n Chill, Town to City, Discounty
- Best Co-Op Game: Hello Kitty Island Adventure (Winner), Lego Voyagers, Cozy Island, Farm Together 2, Dinkum
- Most Anticipated Game: Lofita (Winner), My Time at Evershine, ReStory: Chill Electronic Repairs, Wish Upon A Llama, Moonlight Peaks, Cat Cafe Manager 2: Big City Bliss
- Best Short Game: IS This Seat Taken? (Winner), Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping, Kabuto Park, Urban Jungle, Spilled!
- Best Cozy Game: Tiny Bookshop (Winner), Camper Van: Make It Home, Is This Seat Taken?, Tales of the Shire, Whisper of the House
Alongside the awards came several bits of news and announcements, which are all shared via the Special Showcase on YouTube. Several games were announced, including the following:
- Pottering: a co-op game where players can restore a garden (chaotically) with friends
- Fables of Dwale: an ARPG with puzzles about finding the cure to a dark plague
- Rural Cat Trails: a 2D/3D action-adventure game where the player is a cat
- Winter Whiskers: a cleaning sim set in a cozy holiday town
- Wild n Chill: a 2D survival game
- Drawquarium: a sandbox design game where players can draw fish in their aquarium
Other news reveals included the following:
- Solar Punk will be available on Xbox Games Pass
- Loftia shared a new gameplay trailer with a big focus on customization and multiplayer gameplay
- Map Map – A Game About Maps released
- Tavern Talk Stories: Dreamwalker announced a June 9, 2026, release date
- Ova Magica shadow dropped its 1.0 launch on PC
- The Witch’s Bakery shared that it’ll be released in August 2026
- Cloudscapers announced that it’ll be released in the summer of 2026
- Wish Upon A Llama shared that White Thorn Games will be its publisher
- Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth shared that it’s coming to PlayStation 5 in the future
- Lou’s Lagoon released a demo ahead of its 2026 release
- Kabuto Park released on Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S
All of the games featured in the Cozy Game Awards 2026 Special Showcase are available to purchase or wishlist on Steam now. Additionally, a ton of cozy games have gone on sale to celebrate the awards, including many of the nominees and winners.
