Concord Sales to Cease Immediately Following Poor Release; Refunds Promised

Today, via the official PlayStation blog, Firewalk Studios Game Director Ryan Ellis revealed that they will be pulling its live-service first-person shooter Concord following a disastrous launch about two weeks ago for PS5 and PC. The game will go offline as of September 6, 2024 and anyone who purchased the title will be getting a full refund.

Once refunded, players will no longer have access to the game and could take upwards to one or two months to show up on your bank statements. Refund options can be seen down below:

In the blog, Ellis stated that they made this decision based on player feedback. Since launching on August 23, 2024, Concord only estimated to sell around 25,000 units and failed to eclipse 697 players on Steam. This peak places it below titles like The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, which is being heralded as the worst game of 2023.
